Dance Costumes for Hire is the data controller for your personal data. Contact us about anything in this policy at Dancecfh@gmail.com.

• Contact details: name, email address, phone and mobile numbers.
• Delivery and billing address.
• Account details: your sign-in email and a securely stored password.
• Booking details: costumes, sizes, quantities, hire dates, notes and invoices.
• Payment details: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe keeps your card securely so balance payments can be taken.
• Wishlist items and stock alerts you choose to set up.
• Messages you send us, including through the website chat assistant.

• To fulfil your hire (contract): taking bookings, payments, delivery, returns, invoices and booking changes.
• To meet legal obligations: keeping financial and tax records.
• Legitimate interests: answering your questions, preventing fraud, keeping the website secure and managing our stock.

We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails.

We only share what's needed with trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

• Stripe — card and payment processing.
• Booqable — our booking and stock management system.
• Our website hosting, database and email delivery providers.
• Royal Mail and delivery couriers — to deliver and collect your costumes.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they are covered by UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

Booking, invoice and payment records are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required by UK tax rules. Account details are kept while your account is open. Wishlists and stock alerts are removed when you delete them or close your account.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access a copy of your personal data;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted (unless we must keep it by law);
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive your data in a portable format.

We only use essential cookies. See our cookie notice.

Your data is stored securely, access is restricted so customers can only see their own bookings, and all connections to the website are encrypted.
